Welcome to Grassroots Kettlebell League
Friendly, inclusive, and empowering competitions for lifters of all levels
Overview
Grassroots competitions are aimed at beginners to kettlebell sport and involve the 3 main lifts of jerk, snatch and long cycle. Each lift is 5 minutes in duration and can be with single or double bells. (snatch is single bell only)
There are no weight classes, categories are male and female within Grassroots, Intermediate and Advanced. Juniors can also be involved (under 16).
Scoring is based on points awarded for each kettlebell — the heavier the bell, the higher the points. The number of reps multiplied by the kettlebell rating determines the points. See the Kettlebell League document for scoring info.
