Friendly, inclusive, and empowering competitions for lifters of all levels
Grassroots competitions were introduced to provide a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for lifters at the beginning of their kettlebell sport journey. They also provide the opportunity for more experienced lifters to gain additional time on the platform in preparation for national and international competitions.

Rules
The rules are simple: 3 lifts – Jerk, Snatch, and Long Cycle. Each lift is single switch, or alternatively, doubles are an option for Jerk and Long Cycle.
Categories
- Grassroots: Little or no competition experience
- Intermediate: More than 3 grassroots competitions or national-level experience
- Advanced: International competition experience
- Juniors: Up to and including the age of 15
Scoring
Scores are calculated by multiplying each repetition by the points allocated to the kettlebell weight. There is no weigh-in at our competitions. The scores for each lift are added together to give an overall score. Medals are awarded for first and second place (male and female) in each category.
